Smooth And Ultra-Quiet

The Gateron silent switch is one of the best silent switches for a mechanical keyboard. It features a transparent cover and milk base, delivers an extra smooth, quiet, and natural feel. As the name implies, the sound level with a silent switch is significantly lower. It's perfect for places with sound restrictions and gamers that don't want to disturb others at night.

Gateron Silent Switch

Cushioned Stem

Different from a normal profile switch, the Gateron Silent Switch is crafted with a cushioned muffler pad on the top and bottom of the stem to reduce the noise when using the key switches.

Tactile And Linear

It is available in both tactile and linear. As for colors, it comes in black, red, brown, white, and yellow.

Very good, but not perfect

I'd like to put 3.5 stars. Because the keys are mostly what I expected and wanted, but with some minor nitpicks (two noteworthy ones explained below). They add up so I can't give the switches a 4, but I also feel they are better than a 3.
The first meaningful thing is that the tactil- - tactileness? - tactility? - the bumpiness when typing is a little bit too discreet. It'd be nice if it was more noticeable. I understand that that may be as designed, but I'd still want it more noticeable.
The second thing is that while they are quite quiet, they are a bit inconsistent in their quietness. Some of the switches "sing" when pressed. Like the after tones of smacking a piece of metal. So probable the springs. More when bottoming out, and not as much when passing activation but not reaching the end of travel. The noise floor in the office mostly masks this, but when it gets quiet it is noticeable.
Additional information; I've actually bought two sets of the switches, one from a retailer and one directly from Keychron, and mounted them in two different Keychron Q3 MAX (different batches of keyboard I'm guessing, because they were packaged differently and have some different markings though bought at the same time). And both switch sets exhibit the same "singing" for some keys, but not the necessarily in the same location on the keyboard. So I'm thinking it's the switches and not the keyboard.

Otherwise they feel smooth and are very nice to type on, and were quite affordable around Black Friday.
